To be honest, I have always used tap water as a coolant dilutant and I live in an area that's has very poor water quality in terms of hardness.

Absolutely no requirement for specific water. I think they stated certain dh hardness requirement only. They also said you can use neat coolant if you want.

Deionised water is more pure therefore is better then distilled.

What concentration?They do a ready mixed anti freeze here, just pour it straight in. Never had an issue with the stuff.

I'd have thought 50/50.The window cleaner sold me deionised water.

Used to buy it in Spain pre mixed,never worried about concentration it never got that cold,only put it in for corrosion resistance.I'd have thought 50/50.
The pink anti freeze is - 35°, the yellow anti freeze is - 27°.
Yoy can also buy mercedes type in blue also pre-mixed.
