Hello fellow Range Rover owners

My name is Rod and I currently have 96 Range Rover 4.0. I am having some serious problems with my coolant system. It started to over heat from time to time when I was parked at a stop light or just letting the vehicle run for a short period. I had the heads replace and the problem continued so I had the heads replaced again (twice) I also replace the radiator, water pump, thermostat (twice) and the problem still occurring. I notice that the fan used to cool the radiator was not working the wiring was not straight, so I am thinking that may be the problem. Also the when the vehicle starts to run hot the coolant seems to come or shoot from the coolant reservoir as if it is not getting to the radiator. I am at a loss and I would greatly appreciate any assistance I can get I am all out of suggestion. Also one last thing any one familiar with the trip odometer It is not working at all no miles are showing up on my vehicle, I can not see the total amount or any amount for that matter. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Did the guys who replaced the heads check the cylinders for a slipped liner?

The V8 suffers from problems with the block cracking behind the liners, which can cause them to slip and that causes random overheating problems. Not saying that is 100% your problem, but it is a common cause of overheating on the P38.
