I’m not sure what coolant the 300tdi needs, but the 200tdi needs IAT. IAT is “usually” blue, but Halfords went through a phase of selling OAT in blue and pink. I wouldn’t trust the colour of the liquid, but check the type of coolant it is, OAT or IAT.

300Tdi needs Ethylene Glycol antifreeze 50/50 with water, preferably distilled water - from the handbook, P93:-

"Use an Ethylene Glycol based anti-freeze containing no methanol with non phosphate corrosion inhibitors suitable for use in aluminium engines"

Read the container for mix ratios. I do 2/3rds AF to 1/3 water.

That is to much af, once past 50/50 which goes down to minus 30 degc, you are actually weakening the frost protection, and the cooling effect.
Iirc neat anti freeze will actually freeze.
Also have to be careful on later motors as to high an a/f concentration can effect the floats for sensors etc

+1^^^

Also think too much can attack aluminium but don't recall where i read that

:eek::eek:.
Noted, ta.:)

Use Gin 60:40 Tonic. That way, if you break down, nowt's a bother until help arrives.

Edit
You might want to carry a cool box with a lot of ice in it.

Edit 2
And a lemon. :eek:
