Hi Folks,
I have noticed in the cold weather that my air con pump seems reluctant to kick in when selected on hte a/c hevac panel, ie lo is selected on heat and pump light off.
Is this beacause the interior sensor is seeing its too cold in the cab? or is it because the exterior sensor is seeing its cold? the system is filled and when it does kick in it seems to pulse on and off with 15 seconds on and about 30 secs off.
It has worked fine in the warmer weather and there is no book symbol on the display.
Is yours the same or am I worrying unduly about the beast?
Kind regards Nick.

BTW i am tracing the component that failed in my window outstation and will let you know which part has failed so we can look at a possible repair in the future!

A/C sounds about right for the colder weather. Both ours do that too i.e. not much clicking on and off in the cold but more in the better weathyer. Both re-gassed last year and new condenser in one. Did you have the car last winter?

I think (this is just my opinion and have noticed) that in the cold weather the system will wait until the ambiance temperature from the system is warmer than the outside then it will pump warm air in to the cab, after all there's no point in it working if its just pushing out cold air, that will achieve very little and in fact make matters worse, so it will heat up slightly and then push out warm air
