Hi yes first thing I checked. You've changed the glow plugs, but did you check they are getting power??
Really think you'll find its the other way roundSluggish starting can often be attributed to leaking pressure regulator O rings.
Cam sensor failure normally affects hot starting, not cold starting.

Cam sensor pal according to land-rover once started it doesn't do anything for hot start .Which? There are 2 correct suggestions there.
That's incorrect information.Cam sensor pal according to land-rover once started it doesn't do anything for hot start .
To be honest that's what I thought but land-rover are adamant on the BMW engine it only does cold start ,now you know why I'm so confused pal .That's incorrect information.
The cam sensor is used by the EDC to locate the correct firing sequence. This is done every time the engine is started, regardless of it being hot or cold. If the EDC can't determine the correct firing sequence, the engine can't start. The cam sensor normally fails hot, so first start in the morning is normal, but a subsequent re-start when hot fails, as the EDC can't see the firing sequence.

Just been having a look at the pressure regulator I'll try that next pal thanks for the help it's doing my head in .
Makes senseYou need to check the regulator O ring for splits, cracks, or deformation. If the rubber O ring is leaking just a tiny bit, then the rail pressure won't build enough for correct injector fuel delivery.
Hi pal could you tell me where I can get the pressure regulator repair kit from please pal everybody I've tried only sell the complete regulator.Makes sense
