Hi, I've a Defender 90 25 years old. In good nick but the clutch is killing me! I'm waiting for another new knee and I'm no wimp, but it is ridiculously hard to operate! Any advise as to how to improve it would be appreciated, as I love my Digby!

You can fit the later over centre type spring, can't remember if you need to change the pedal as well. Another option is a servo which is more involved.
Oh, and welcome, best put your questions in the 90/110 forum.

Fit a remote servo for the clutch, it will be as light as a feather then.
I have one on the Td5 and it really is no different than my modern car, it was fitted by the previous owner.
Can't see why you can't fit one on a tdi.

Having just had a new clutch fitted on a 200tdi it made no noticeable difference to the lightness of the pedal.
Remote servo shouldn't cost a great deal in parts, have a chat with your local specialist. It will be the best option for your medical needs.
