Hi, i have a bit of an issue with my clutch pedal/system, for quite a long time I've had a popping or stiff feeling when operating the clutch pedal, I've had the pedal box off and drilled a 1.5mm hole through the pivot and fitted a grease nipple so i could grease the main pivot as that's where I first thought the problem was, so after lubricating the pivot and the push rod connection under the cover, the noise/feeling is still there, so I checked the flexy pipe and found it was faulty and parts of it were swollen to twice the size it should be, I thought I would improve on the original pipe work and fitted a new braided hose from master to slave, which improved things for a day or two, as the fluid in the reservoir has a grey cloudy look I changed the fluid and I checked it a few days latter and it was cloudy again and the noise feeling is still there I bought a new oem master cylinder which seemed ok at first, been out for a drive today and the noise is back and the fluid is cloudy again, so with my wife operating the pedal I listened with a stethoscope and the noise seems loudest at the slave end, one oem slave cylinder on order, has anyone else had this problem ? what the noise reminds me of is when testing injectors on a hand operated tester, that popping sound/feeling when you over come the pressure to make the injector spray, it's smooth up to the point pressure is felt under foot on the pedal.

You haven't said what age yours is, but it could be the clutch fork on its way out.

Hopefully your new slave will sort it then, only other thing could be release bearing collapsing. If its one of the cheap ones the plastic body melts easily

Could also be one of the slipper pads on the clutch fork has fallen off or snapped (I had this). The fork then pushes unevenly on the release bearing causing a clutch that works but is stiff and makes creaks/clunks.

Strangely cold on the drive the pedal is smooth and free from any noise, (since I replaced the faulty flexy hose the pedal has been light)
Be interesting to see if it returns when hot
Thank you for all your replies
