ive got a 200 tdi disco i had a new clutch put in cos the arm had failed it had a hole were the piston pushes the rod to the arm. so i got new parts everything new but when i got it back from the garage the clutch was all or nothing as if the clutch pushed yer foot off the pedal.the bearring made a hell off a noise when your foot was not on the pedal. the clutch has been like that for 3000 miles or so . and now its gone again the arm has failed again why? can anyone help? im trying to get the garege to do it

no offence m8 but this forum part is for ( Introduce Yourself ) :) but never mind lol

re the arm yes that is a comon fault. if the arm goes and you replace it BUT the ball it rocks on is also warn or out of shape it only wares the NEW arm away again :(

re the noise this will prob be from the thrust baring when you are NOT pressing on the clutch it only just touches the fingers on the presure plate and if the baring is warn it will make a bad noise,
When you press the clutch the baring is compresed and like you say stops the noise.

So yes it does need doing again :( was is a cheap clutch KIT that was fitted last time ??
