clutch plates

hi all i have a 51 reg td4 and the clutch has just started to slip so i have got her up on axle stands waiting to pull the gear box etc out this weekend.
as i tow a caravan about is it worth fitting a clutch plate and release bearing from the commercial if so assuming its not knackerd can i use the same pressure plate with the commercial clutch ??


oh and what is the best way to get them bloody nuts of the drive shaft ends 300ftp tque if you dont have a nut gun ??

always fit a new bearing, clutch plate inspect when yer get to it, might be worth fitting the heavy duty clutch if you do towing.oh un worth fitting a new clutch actuator while its all orft . . .:)

Is your trans JATCO? if it does, please post some pictures as you doing it...will interesting to know how to...cheers
 
hi all got the rs drive shaft of tonight and got the propshaft un done hell of a job on your back i can tell you lol
anyway just looked at the haynes and it says to take of the sub frame and frount ex pipe anyone done this jobs with these in place??
 
well i have all the bolts out of the ird call it whot you want bar the last so the front ex pipe is coming off
 
finished sorry no pics i managed to get it on a lift in the end saved a lot of hard work and i got to use some nice tools
