Bollox...

just had to cut a days laning short cos i got a ole in me clutch hose which ****ed fluid everywhere. now. ive looked around and can only find hose which attaches to the master cylinder.

MY hose is the flexi one that joins the 2 solid pipes down by the starter motor. you know the ones?

now are these the same as the other flexi ones? or should i be looking for something completely different.

Cheers,

G

ok guys i got me hose. long story short. fited to the slave cylinder fine, hooked that up. went to put the locknut on the other end. tight as feck :(

it wont go on! now, i might be stupid but i cant see that ive not cross threaded it. is it possible i have and cant see it? it will wind on a turn or 2 then go solid. ive tried other nuts, nothing. nut is fine. tried it on the old hose. brilliant, smooth as silk! is it possible that the threads are a little too raised cos its new? would a fine sanding help? or do i got a duffer hose :(

holding them both together they look EXACTLY the same... stumped i am :(

BSP and UNF are almost but not quite the same TPI at those sizes, can't be arsed to get me tables out try Googling thread pitches an see what you come up with, pound to a pinch of ****e you've got the wrong one. Where did you get the hose from is it the pukka one?

only just read your reply grunt, thank you. i went back to the bloke this morning and checked it against another one. it was a dud! freaking jesus... so now i got one that holds the locknuts smooth both sides :) always check new parts before getting under your landy!

tonight i now have to fit the hose to the slave, slave inplace, other end of hose and bleed. hope it works tonight, im staying in london wed/thu night and going to swansea fri! owww dear.
