Just wondering whether there are known issues relating to the clutch / gearbox on the Disco? There is a snatch as I dip the clutch to change gear and generally its all just a bit more clunky and noisy than I am used to.

I guess the gearbox is worn but was wondering whether changing the gerabox oil would make a difference. Is it likely to be a terminal gearbox issue or is it a 'feature' ? It goes in gear no problem (other than the second gear crunch). I can live with as long as its not likely to suddenly fail?

A bit more clunky and noisy than you used to. you will get use to it,

driving a disco is not like driving a car,

changing the gerabox oil could make a very big difference

as said above changing the oil can make the world of difference unless it was my landy. As this used to snatch and clunk but that was because my clutch had ripped itself apart(pics in another thread). Thing is thou there's split minds, on wether to use atf oil,or mtf.
