how do!
last week i got a huggggggggge bill for amongst other things a repair to the clutch fork in my 300tdi 90. apparently its a real weak point?is it caused by the rod going through too far or somethin?its been reinforced on repair, but was jus wanderin if theres anythin that can be done to prevent this happenin again, like driving style, clutch use etc etc.

if the clutch fork has had the reinforcing pate welded on it will not go again (touchwood)

clutch arm needs replacing along with clutch assembley each time or not if welded up.

I int saying nowt that can be taken down an used in evidence against me, I'm just repeating wot was said to me. But it int just the pivot point that wears or the point that the push rods sits, the pads on the fork wear as well an for the price of a new arm that will outlast a clutch I don't see the point in welding one up.
