Can anyone help !!
I need a new clock for me freelander but theres no way i can splash out £80 at the mo,ive noticed the rover 200 400 etc.. use the same clock but its illuminated orange (i can get one of these for £20) is it a case of changing the bulb ?is the screen orange or is it just an orange bit of card behind the screen that i can swap with the green one in the freelander now.
 
but to answer your question, the bulbs have like a coloured coating on them. But don't pay dealer prices, go to a local motor factor and they will sell you just the bulb which you can then pry out of the holder and change, rather than having to buy the holder and everything. Maybe save a couple of squid, maybe not worth the agro.

Or look at all the sh*t on ebay, you can have any colour you like
 
Just took me broken freelander clock apart to check the bulb and found its a clear one must be the green bit of card behind the glass that gives it its color.
