Does anybody have any experience of the Clocaenog forest? If you look on google and more particularly the street view there appears to be many tracks crossing the forest and some appear to be nothing more than a dirt forest track. Are these tracks really drivable or has the google car just got a bit carried away?

WELCOME! ON LZ the usual thing is to first post in the introduction section, then post a question ;)

Have a look at the sticky threads in this section (Green Laning) about how to go about seeing if you can legally use any of those tracks: Grab an OS map of the area and check out the symbology to see if they're just footpaths or bridleways, or open to vehicluar traffic. DON'T JUST GO OFF WHAT THE OS MAP SAYS! Contact the Rights of Way department of the appropriate County Council to double check the legality - some of the tracks might have TRO's on them Traffic Restriction Order - aka CLOSED! :)
