hello knowledgeable ones :) virgin poster here at your mercy! please be gentle.

I have a 93 range rover vogue lse with the air suspension system. now if money were no object I would replace the perishing balloons and the suspected dying valve block which we think is making it a bit lethargic to soften up, however it isnt :(, so i am looking at converting it.

Now my problem is i am not quite sure i understand it correctly the way i see it you can buy conversion kits and change to springs and struts, which is what I was after we are looking at putting good long springs and struts on cos we found some really deep ruts and puddles to get through on our travels :D but bearing in mind i dont really know where to look I have so far only found a set of struts on ebay and on another occasion a set of washers and bolts  no selection of springs.

to cut a long post short I am sure some of you guys have done or seen this before and would be able to point me in the right direction and save me all sorts of trouble and probably money too.

Cheers,

Roly

hi try any good aftermarket landrover accessories shop like mm nr droitwitch or paddock in matlock or 4x4store exeter you can find complete conversion kits for your classic please bear in mind that your vehicle is 8" longer than a std classic. you should be able to substitute the std springs with +1" and same with gas shocks

Conversion from air to coils. More to it than just these steel bits. You have to dismantle/deactivate the existing air system as well. Be cautious. This can be dangerous as high pressures are involved. If unsure then perhaps a specialist Landy work shop might be in order. Might cost a bit extra but may save a heap of hassle.
Valve block - may only be the 'o rings". Pretty cheap.
Air springs - can't believe that all four have gone simultaneously. Good luck.

Thanks guys will give them go see what I come up with :)

not too much to worry about stripping out the air system am a mechanical engineer by trade so if i struggle to much got plenty of guys near by to laugh at me then take pleasure in helping:)

Hi , converted my lse to coils 4 years ago, or should say had it done for me. Had heavy duty coils put on the rear to assist with the lift, stripped out the compressor , valve box, air bags etc and had the whole job for 400+vat. it was a good conversion and would recommend who did it if you live near Exmoor. May just be height sensors or leaking airbag, I do have spares from my conversion if that is any help, let me know.,

Hope this may help.
