ALright chaps!Went out for a drive last night in the Rangie and as I was bombing along I realised id forgotten to put me new tax disk in.Very naughty I know so got home and put it in and in doing so thought "might as well check me MOT cert, that runs out end of the month!"Wrong!Run out midnight last night. So i need to do me brakes(pads front, pads and disks rear). Is theis gonna be a difficulkt job?Ive got a smattering of tools, very little knowledge and plenty of swear words.Ive found some disks and pads for just less than a ton on ebay. Are these any good or should i just send the lot off to me mechanic mate whose goona do the MOT?

I changed the front and rear discs along with pads and all retainers on me disco and the parts only came to £86.00 off my local Indie, took me 3 hours to do the lot and that included stoppage time for coffee and pipe breaks. When you have the rear hubs off to replace the discs don't try and hold it in a vice as they are to tight to undo like that, bolt the hub back onto the wheel and then place it on the floor so that you can undo the disc bolts , mine took a 3ft long bar to crack them, but the wheel did not move so making a good workbench.

cheers stig.So apart from a bit of brute force(they are big brakes) is there any special tools needed?
