Hi guys - I know this a well-discussed subject, but doing a search hasn't quite revealed an answer.
I've owned my '87 Vouge for nearly eight years & an area of the head-lining above the rear seat has just decided to sag, really annoying as the lining (retrofitted by one of it's only two PO's together with a sunroof) is unmarked. I appreciate that the ultimate answer will be complete replacement but I'm going to a classic car show on Sunday & wonder if anyone has a tip for a reasonably neat temporary fix.

Thanks in advance folk

Drawing pins and hang LED light's from them, all the Essex boys do it.;):D:D:D

If you were prepared to risk a razor cut in the headlining, assuming the lining has come away from the backing board, you could try double sided carpet fitters tape through the cut onto the board and then stick the lining to the board using that. It could well look just as bad as the sagging lining though, particularly if the material puckers - I have a 50 percent success rate!

Seriously, I did a repair on one I owned years ago. Peeled the lining from the back to past the sag. Spray adhesive to the backing board and the lining material, don't let it dry as per can instructions, Use a wallpapering brush and work front to rear with GENTLE pressure, if you get a crease then you can pull it back as the adhesive isn't dry. Good luck, you will be working upside down, easy if you can paper a ceiling.:)
