hi there im hoping one of you guys can help with some info here , i have a 94 rangerover lse and the c/c has never worked since i bought it , i had a look at it yesterday and found a perished vac pipe and thought great fount it but after a road test it still did`nt work , a couple of things i need to know is , 1 is the motor a vac pump as well or should there be a vac feed from the manifold , 2 on the vac pump/motor yhere are 2 nipples to accept a hose 1 is black 1 is light grey or white which is the correct nipple to connect the pipe to ? hope someone can throw a bit of light on this cheers .

quick update problem now sorted , it was a couple of faults 1 vac pipe where it passes through the bulkhead was split 2 brake pedal switch needed to be reset , someone previously had removed or played with it and must not have known they are adjustable :) :) :)

Hi,
how do you reset/adjust the pedal switch? Is there a reset procedure?
I've replaced vacuum hoses just need to know the final adjustment needed

thanks

Ross

hi ross dead easy mate remove the switch ( its easier ) then grip the contact pad at the end of the switch and pull it out firmly ,you will hear a sort of ratchet clicking sound as you pull it , once its all the way out refit back into the bracket holding down the brake pedal as you do so to prevent it pushing the swithch back prematurely once its remounted relase the brake pedal and that will automatically reset the switch , hope this helps
rick.
