Hi. After changing the battery, the mechanic decided to take a break and listen to the radio in the comfort of my P38. In doing so he managed to lock the radio!!!!

Does anyone know the code to unlock the Clarion Diversity?

Thanks

Normally the code will be in the user manual ;)

Failing that there are web sites dedicated to providing unlock codes  I believe all you need is the serial number.

He locked the radio by disconnecting the battery. That is all it takes. Each incorrect attempt at entering the code gives a longer lock out of the radio. Take it out and take it to a car radio shop they will be able to extract the code. They should be able to set it so no code is required.

It's not the original radio that was supplied with the car. I have the code, but after the mechanic made 3 incorrect attempts it locked. Now it won't accept anything, it just displays --- --- --- ---

Multiple incorrect inputs extends the wait time. You many have to wait 24 hrs if to many inputs have been made. You can shorten this by disconnecting radio from permanent supply for a while to erase the memory. Pull fuse 1 for an hour or so see what you get. But no good if you don't have a code. A radio shop should be able to extract code for you or set it to no code needed. Then you can put your own code in.

After doing a bit of searching, it seems that disconnecting the fuse and leaving it for a few hours will discharge the radio, and then holding the BAND button I should be able to enter the correct code, at least that's what I've read. I'll let you know.
