It's a local place, recommended by people in the know, although I have just
had a quote from

http://www.nipponautomotive.co.uk/Musso.php

and they want £68 for each disc, which is much better!

I have no idea what type my calipers are.. how do I tell?

needs new disks after only 2 years?

The name is on them, if you look through a road wheel you can just make
it out, otherwise you will have to remove a wheel.
I have got a July 2002 Daewoo Musso 2.9 SE Auto and that's got Mando
callipers which non of the aftermarket boys cater for, I had to order
mine from the dealer.

My 2002 Musso has just done 26,000 and the disks are still like new.
Heavy braking from high speed is the biggest cause, followed by sticking
callipers. The genuine Musso pads are very soft, they create a lot of
brake dust, but you get a better mileage out of them and they do not
damage the discs as bad as harder ones do.
A lot of people fit harder ones to increase the braking efficiency, but
you pay for it in early replacement of pads and discs.

Terry, Nipponautomotive quoted me pads for Mando and non Mando callipers,
between 12 and 15 pounds each.

Hi Hully,
I have just been to their Web Site and under both SsangYong and Daewoo
they only list them from 1999 to present which is wrong, the present
setup i.e. Mando Calipers and ABS were not introduced until 2001

I have not had the invoice yet from my SsangYong Dealer, but I will let
you know the prices when it arrives. If you get a chance to cross
reference them the SsangYong part numbers are:-
Front pads 4813005012
Rear pads 4841305100

Have you tried EBC, makers of "Green Stuff" brake pads? I needed
pasds/disks for a Ford Explorer and EBC provided better spec pads and
disks than the originals at a lower price.
