I was at work and a load of pouches from body armour and rucksacks turned up. They were going to be disposed when it suddenly occurred to me what they could be used for!

And the floors were matted with some tool box rubber which is now fitted and far cheaper than the mass produced jobs. I'm a cheapo and i know it!

Like the idea of the pouches.

Nowt wrong with re-using stuff, you ain't being cheapo, just careful ..

's what I say when I tell the wife I'm gonna be in the shed "making stuff from nothing" .. ;)

Cheers fellas! I was going to get rid of the dog guard as i don't actually own a dog but it'll stay now it is serving a purpose.

They are obviously positioned to see through the rear view mirror but if i get hold of more, i may just cover it.

They're carrying a basic toolkit, basic first aid kit and a torch, all tucked away out of sight and not rolling around the back.

If you get more, you have a ready market here .. exactly what I was thinking, first aid kit, winch isolator keys/controllers, worklight ...

Dibs on a few ... ;)

I will keep an eye out for you! We will probably have a few more in at some point.

+1 on getting some more Pouches. I have 2 respirator bags attached to my Dog guard. 1 behind each headrest. got recovery gear in one shackles etc, and all the crap I had flying around loose in the back, ratchet straps etc etc. But could do with some smaller ones for specific items./camping trips.

Not quite surplus....... :)

I work next to the section that cleans up the base I work on, you'd be amazed at the stuff people just leave as rubbish. They actually have a coppers utility vest, numerous old laptops. I'm slowly building up a load of useful kit for the landy just from stuff people leave lying around.

My last acquisition was a hexamine camping burner, hopefully I'll get some ration packs and camping tins to go with it.

TK maxx today had a folding steel shovwl for £6 and a swedish fire lighting knife for £16, both going for double on ebay :)

nice. see if anyone leaves a 58 canteen and crusader set for me :D

I'll keep my peepers peeled for you all. It only ends up getting disposed of if not claimed, normally just in the skip :(
