Quick question for you guys, my friends td5 disco needs a bit of welding, what do you suggest about protecting the electrics, disconnecting the battery etc. Is there anything special to do?

got to do some welding on my td5 soon. so did a bit of research into this myself. some people disconnect the battery and some dont. personally, i`m going to disconnect mine.

td5 that need welding? kin hell must be a early 1. i know there must have been a bad batch in 2000 as ive heard and had a few my self

nice body on it but that chassi is well fooked

It's on a y plate. Where the chassis rises at the rear it looks like it's made in two halves, drain holes are clear, steel was probably rusty when they made it!
