Hi there just started getting into stripping and starting my 90 project and need a little advice. Found a hole behind one of the bulkhead outriggers

IMG_4703.jpegand am guessing it will be an MoT fail.
Is it as simple as cutting off the outrigger and cutting out the rust and patching?
Can the outrigger be used again?
Any advice on welders for getting this done?
Thanks in advance

What he said, you are going to need to do it eventually and there is such good access to so many things when you get the floor up and ready for the outrigger. Definitely don't let an outrigger be your first welding attempt though :) If you can get on a course or even DIY video it I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to weld an outrigger within 10-15 hours of practice.

Funny looking hole - never seen a rust hole as neat as that...
Are you sure it's not a pre-fabricated / design feature, e.g for access, or for drainage?
How thick are the edges? if it's rust it will be like a jagged blunt razor blade, surely...

I think he is meaning the hole on the inside of that.....
