Hi everone, I am new to this forum and to Landrover ownership. I currently have a left hand drive 1.8 Freelander and recently purchased a new fuel filler cap but wish to use my old key/lock. Has anybody completed this procedure, and if so could you point me in the right direction in the art of swapping the lock over. I have done numerous searches, but to no avail.

TIA

Tony

Welcome :)

Have done this before when stuck at a petrol station, the key wouldnt come out of the cap.

It was tricky to do and spring mechanism inside was a pain, but its possible to change the barrels over. I think the key needs to be inside the lock to change them. You might have to drill the new one
