changed fuel filter and engine not starting

Hi,

im new on here and i was just wondering if anyone had any advice.

I have a freelander k series 1.8 petrol 1998 and i gave it a full service and the last job was to change the filter in the fuel pump. i completed it correctly and put it all back as it came out but now i cant get it started. i can hear the pump initialize when i turn the ignition but then theres just no go.

Is there anything i need to be doing as i drained the whole pump and gave it a good cleanwhilst it was out of the tank.

I would download the RAVE CD if I were you old chap. There are 3 warnings about making sure earthing is correct
1) Make sure Earthing Spring fitted to fuel pressure regulator is correctly fitted.
2) Ensure filter earthing tag is correctly located to contact the base of the fuel filter.
3) During refit ensure all electrical connection are made correctly.

Also check if the fuel system is pressurising and reaching the injectors
