well - we made it. Although loads of peeps cried off - eventually Redwings, Kev, me and family went out to do a few lanes south of Basingstoke today. Just arrived back. Will be loading piccies in a while, but seriously, trying to remove broken trees with a hacksaw aint fun, so if anyone has an old, but servicable chainsaw (only for laning use) sitting idle, can yu PM me, if its cheep.
 
i don't think its engaging , i have tried all the ground checks and come away mildly confused about what should and shouldn't be turning , tested the light switch on the gearbox, which does work, but when i select it it doesn't come on at the dash, which leads me to believe it ain't happenening, i've no experience of offroading(i've avoided of the newbie trips 'cos of this too) so i can't tell by driving skill, although low range does engage fine.
