I have searched................... and I've had the 56 plate Freestyle 4 weeks.
The central locking works ok but the lights don't flash when you hear the locks engage.
Any guidance on what may be the problem?

Many thanks

I use the remote. I wonder if it is as simple as needing a new battery in the remote?
Thanks for quick reply

It's not the fob battery, or it wouldn't lock or unlock.
From memory, there's a fuse that feeds the alarm indicators possibly 15? It looks like the hazard relay is also in the circuit, which could be faulty. It is also possible that the CCU has a fault and isn't powering the indicators.
Is the alarm LED flashing on the dash?

Nodge thanks for reply.
The dash LED dosen't flash but if it is relevant the hazard warning lights flash ok when switched on.
I notice on an old receipt in 2010 there was an "Autologic Diagnostics recalibration of alarm", I've only owned the car 4 weeks so I am no wiser on this.

So there is no LED flashing/blinking on the dashboard when you lock the car?

That would mean the alarm is not turned on.

That's what I'm thinking. Maybe someone has put the system into a market mode where the alarm isn't activated, like Japan.
The easiest way to test that is to lock the car with a window open and try to trigger the alarm by waving an arm inside the car. The alarm should see the movement and trigger the horns and indicators. No trigger suggest no alarm is active.

I have done as suggested, no horn or indicator flashing. What is my best way forward, can the alarm system be reset with diagnostic equipment or are there further checks I can do?

It sounds like the alarm has been deactivated. You need to find someone that has LR's T4 or an advanced diagnostic device that can reactivate the alarm. You have to ask, why the alarm was deactivated in the first place?

I don't know the reason for that maybe it was going off in the "wee small hours"
I need to get up to date with diagnostics so will search this site before posting a new thread;)
