car lube or castrol oil?

Hi,

Have been busy enjoying my p38 DT for nearly a year now but time for a service before going on holiday and noticed B&Q had car lube oil to the same spec as castrol magnatec(both 10W 40 semi synthetic with the same AP rating etc). The Castrol was £24 for 4L and carlube £14 for 5L any thoughts?

Thanks for any thoughts, might also go in the wife's C200.

Castrol=pay for name.

Aslong as it meets the specs chuck it in.

£14 is a good price for carlube 10w40 semi-synth'. My local independant motor factors has that 5l bottle for £18.99, and magnetec for £23.99.
Sounds a good deal to me, would go for carlube
