Can somebody please, as simply as possible, timeline the progression of the 'Defender'. I think I understand Series 1,2,2a ... but from 3 onwards get very confused (mainly engines and wheel-base lengths)
Things are not helped by looking in the classified ads. For example seeing a '89 called a Defender Tdi 200, when I thought the name Defender wasnt introduced until circa '94
