can lpg gas tanks be stood up?

i am fitting an lpg setup from a disco onto my defender,they are underslung on the disco but i want to stand them up in the back of my 90.
can this be done or do i need different tanks?

yeah the engine feed is at the top if they are horizontal,if i stand them it would be in the middle................ i can fit them horizontally but then i would loose the seats,trying to find a happy medium really

sounds like a deal for me but i cant courier them because they still have gas in,

do you no how to get the gas out safely i cradded the connector and let some out and it seemed to sit in the yard all day. im in bradford west yorkshire.

The safest way is probably via a regulator and camp burner or something similar. Burning it off is gonna be much safer than just releasing it, cause it will sit in pockets and any stray ignition source could give you a problem.
 
Av seen em for sale wi gas still in em and the piccies shows the tank out of the vehicle. In't there sum way f shutting off the gas at the valve?
