Camshaft control bank 2 fault

G'day all,

'02 Range Rover L322 4.4.

RSW is reporting the following under Engine

Camshaft control bank 2 fault. Last occurrence - maximum signal
Purge valve output drive fault. Last occurrence - maximum signal
VANOS bank 2 output drive fault. Last occurrence - maximum signal

After I reset it it comes back. Haven't checked how quick it comes back - whether its at idle or not.

Looking for some direction before giving it to a dealer.

Go look at a BMW forum, sounds very very expensive.

The VANOS system is pretty robust but it's not unknown for the O rings to harden and fail. There are lots freely available to rebuild the units. Check out the Outposts forum for details on how to do this. It would be prudent to get a firm diagnosis first though.
