Cable access

Morning, following a load of abuse on the anything goes page I have been directed to here for some help!!

Recently bought a freelander 1, I need to run a cable direct from the battery to behind the dash, is there any access points as I haven't found any yet and getting frustrated!!

Posting anything vaguely sensible in the Anything Goes section will get a barrage of abuse.
The Freelander section is generally a much more pleasant place to visit.

As to your question.
There is a cable entry point available to you.
It is located under the engine bay fuse box. In the corner, well hidden. All the cables to the interior go through it. It's sealed with a large grommet. There is a spare section available in that grommet to pass a reasonably sized cable of about 30 Amps rating.

Yeah I can give a lot more than the abuse they threw at me so I take it light hearted, thanks for your help, is it easy to retrieve on the inside? I am very much new to these things but determined to do it myself

Yeah thanks for the reply, it's not auto so am gonna have to get looking for the other one, am restricted as to how I can get into the engine with my disability, is it top or bottom of the bulkhead?

also have a screwed up back so feel for u

is just above the engine , as u look at the bulkhead , in the centre u will see a small insulation blank, remove that and there's a rubber grommet behind

will have a double skin , put a long screwdriver through

shame ur to far away otherwise could have helped u with it

to gain the one behind the fuse box u have to loosen it and get it out of the way , bulkhead is a lot easier

'Threw a load of abuse at me' is a bit strong. Light hearted is the intention and the key
