buzzing sound

started up to come home and heard a low buzzing sound coming from the back of my defender 90. when i got home it was dark but i could hear the buzzing outside my landy to the rear .it sounds as if its coming from the left lights or by the tow bar. real strange wondered if any1 had any ideas

will e looking tomorrow in the daylight if we dont get to much snow

If you have the ignition switched off and it is still buzzing I would be concerned. You don't want to be woken up by the Fire Brigade.... are you sure it is not vibration? Try touching and feeling for the noise

do you have a lift pump or a pump in the tank. could be latter

check the drivers side rear lights, under the wheel arch there is a rubber flap.
If you have rear wiper-permanent live to rear(wiper park I think)
check the body lip has not eaten loom as mine did both sides

Or if you have an Indicator warning buzzer ( when trailer electrics are pluged in ) , it could be that playing up as they buzz .

naw its not my dorris ,she aint been in the back yet
but thinking about going to work today when i turned my indicator on to turn i did see the trailer light flash on my dash quickly,it happened twice so ill check it tomorrow and under the arches thanks every1

thats normal. It should flash once everytime you indicate if you don't have a trailer fitted.
