Hi looking for my first Range Rover,( learnt to drive in a Series 2A years ago, but fancy a bit of luxury now ) found a P38A 4.6HSE on lpg, it's an N reg with 80k on clock with a mix of LR and inde service, all electric stuff seems to work ok and no warning lights on , up for £2k ono anything special I should look for?:)

Check out overheating/head gasket problems, and check and double check and triple check the EAS. Loads written on this forum.... for a reason! It is d.i.y-able but beware. Don`t know where you are but try to get some-one local to you to go and pick holes in anything you`re looking at. P38s are great when they`re good, but can be a frustrating money-pit.

Double L, he's got to be a sheep shagger.

Welcome

GTLAND has said the essentials. If you haven't already sit down and read as much of this forum as you can. There is an amazing amount of information on faults and repairs on here.

one of the biggest problems with this engine with gas fitted is overheating, dont go in with your eyes closed as alread lots to read befor you jump. put where you live some body may just offer to help and god are you going to need it, by the way it tooo pricey.. good luck..

Agreed !!!
Any variation from the original petrol engine increases greatly the chances of trouble. They can be bad on petrol as it is, overheating wise. The cooling system has to be in tip top condition. There is no room for complacency.

Ow bist ya Nath ?????
