buying a freelander

Hi there,
I am new to the website, i am hoping to get a bit of advice, me and my partner are looking to buy a freelander and desided on a td4, everything we have seen has had what we thought looked like high mileage, we have been told as long as it has been looked after diesel engines would be ok and 90,000 is nothing, just wondering if this is the case and any other buying advise would be most appreciated, thanks :)

mines coming up to 130k and purrs like a kitten...best of luck and welcome aboard cartman690...:)

Mines done 97K and goes like a gudun !!:D

well the front wheels do anyway:rolleyes:
 
wot he didnt say was " it purrs like a kitten" - but he has to let it sleep all day on his bed and it only moves to be filled up with fuel and to "drop bits" on his carpet! ;)

If you are going to get a Freelander, the TD4 is the one to go for - its the best.
 
Hi lorraine und welcome,my td4 auto has done bout 80,000 and runs fine,get very good mpg, had one issue a few years back that was sorted,had a engine gismo fitted that tweeks it a bit better,well happy with it,but then again i love all lr models,so maybe bit biased,so enjoy earthling. . .:) :) :)
 
Word of Caution, Lorraine.
Freelanders are great machines when they are working, the diesel is the best, but there lots of known problems! Go into it with your eyes open and dont be surprised if you get big bills!
 
Yes. . . flippy is talking sense,if your not a diy person then cover it with a good warranty,and read the small print as most are full of holes make sure all service and maintenance is up to date, and get a full history. . . .:)

um er yeah hm yep super smashin great...yeah wot he said parp oops blown it...very happy with her but company car forces sale cant run 3 motors...:eek:

ffs fartman will you do something about that nose of yours? its pokeing right through me screen and its getting closer to the kitchen door by the second.
