Right, this weekend I've got some jobs todo.
Egr blanking moddy.
Oil cooler renewle.
Thermostat renewle.
I'm hoping to get this all done over the weekend. But Friday night I will drain the oil and coolant. Just want to know, is it wise to use dishwasher liquid for the coolant and oil flush then go for say a 10 mile (if that) drive. Got to take the missus somewhere and i thought I could use the journey to get the engines oil and coolant right up to temperature and get it properly flowing around the system. Then drain it when I'm home or that following morning. Because idleing doesn't really get it round all the pipes does it? So is it wise to use dishwasher tablets and go for a journey and leave it to soak over night. (I will be flushing again with rad flush).
Also, is it wise to put the intake manifold and Egr pipes in the dishwasher for good wash or could I damage it. I know its sounds like I have a bit of an obsession with the dishwasher but I just figure it might work a treat.
