Hi:

I've got a 4x4 Ford van that some dimwit rearended. So I new a new rear
bumper. I don't like the stock, and I'd like to get something better,
although not the huge ones since I carry a motorcycle back there on the
hitch and I already have angle of departure issues. I was also thinking
of getting a front to match, but I have a grille guard that matched to
the Ford stock chrome bumper. I'd like to replace that too, since those
cheesy plastic valences get in the way, prevent you from using a jack
on the bumper, and get in the way of the bigger tires.

Since it's a van, there's not much of a selection for simple bolt-ons,
and at least with the front I'll probably need some modifications for
it to fit my grille guard.

And while I'm at it, it would be nice to get some armor to protect the
gas tank.

So...any suggestions for somebody who can do some fabrication work like
this in the Bay Area? I have a lead on some bumpers (Sterling
Equipment, http://members.aol.com/sterlingeq/index.htm, but again, it
will probably require some welding and cutting and such for stuff to
fit.

TIA,
Rob
