Evening all
My first post (I think, unless I was here years ago !)
I've bought an early ninety which I'm intending to do a full rebuild on and then drive for ever.
I'm settled on a Marsland chassis and am trying to decide on which brand of galvanised bulkhead to fit;
At the moment I'm drawn toward an SP galvanised bulkhead.
Any experiences ? good or bad.
I was also thinking to cut the original chassis number out of the old chassis, shape the section into a nice plate, cold zinc plate it and weld it onto the new chassis in the appropriate position.

Good idea to keep the old chassis number if you can find it, but best just to keep it. Cold galv is good when there is no other choice but does not compare to the hot dip version. Daft to damage your new chassis by welding it.

Beside it will also look like the chassis has been tampered when you weld in a plate with a number on it.
