bulkhead fasteners for fuel filter mounting

Just carrying out routine service on my Series 2a, when the fuel filter casing pulled out of the bulkhead. :doh:
I have new aluminium fasteners but can't get them to catch.

Anyone got any ideas how I can attach the fuel filter casing back into the bulkhead?

drill some fresh holes for rivnuts or how are you trying to fix new ones as they are squashed in like pop rivets with special tool

I just took bolts right through the bulkhead - won't touch bloody rivnuts.
