bubbly turbo.

At 3000 ish rpm the turbo sounds like its blowing bubbles in the bath like gas is bypassing, to be honest its like a wet fart sound and you can feel hesitation. Is this the start of an expensive turbo problem ??. No smoke or grinding thou. Cheers

I can't think what could cause such a noise.

You could remove the inlet hose and check if there is any lift in the spindle but from my experience they either work properly or smoke like a b*stard due to bearing/seal failure.

Even if the engine breather was dumping enough oil into it to get bubbling sounds you would be getting blue smoke.

Intercooler holding lots of oil maybe?
