hi all had my front brakes off again today .took the edges off the new shoes .to stop them squeeling .Am i right in thinking that when you adjust them that they should not spin on the hub when adjusted right up .mine do the adjuster cam can go right over .and thats with new shoes and drums .re bled them front off side seems to have loads of air in but other side all ok .wheels are getting hot after short run .but if i back the adjusters off i fear i may have no brakes .the new pistons have 1 and a quarter stamped on them just wondering if i have put the front pistons on the back and vice versa as i dont seem to be able to lock them up with the adjusters . any advice here would be welcome .as still not happy with the brakes . cheers

squealing is dust from shoes, cheaper shoes squeal the most usually, adjusters wear and can be replaced, i used to find 110 rear drums the same when building new axles with parts supplied by landrover for them 50% wouldnt lock drum

this is all new .shoes pistons springs and drums .i bought a brake kit from paddocks the new adjusters are the same size as the old but just very flimsy the way they go together . will just persivere with them might adjust the master cylinder rod thingy need to do a bit more more reading first.
