Hello group, had a disastrous day yesterday, replaced the rear diff oil, only to loose the plug in the diff pan. In the process of retrieving the plug from the diff I kinked the rear brake pipe, which is currently seeping. . I'm going to replace the pipe myself, and found the following kit on EBay .Item number: 350163084371, All I need to know is, are the kits on EBay adequate for the job, and are the defender brake lines, double flares (inverted).?
Thanks in advance, anyone want to see the damage that the diff caused to my plug, I'll post some pictures.

It's a cheap version of the original Blue Point (Snap On) it'll do the job nicely.
Read the instructions carefully, take great care to make sure the pipe is cut square, best to use a pipe cutter, the anvil (aka the former) must be square on to the pipe end.
Also make sure you make your new pipe just like the old one, male ends are usually single flare, female ends are usually double flare.

how easy is it to replace brake lines? ive recently put a bit of a bend in one of the backs ones. Not leaking but been advised to change it. Am reluctant to do this myself as have no idea how :D any help greatly appreciated!!
 
I'll let you know how I get on after the weekend 08mckerp, I've never replaced one before, but I've managed to get all the spares, just waiting for the weather to improve, before the grace of God go I.

Well the weather improved yesterday so I got to work..

All in all, a good hours work. Would be much quicker given more experience, I practiced on a few bits of pipe before applying the final flares, fitted first time, system bled and checked for leaks, all is well. Just need to change the hub oil seals and the Landy will be back on the road, need a hub spanner smartish, anyone any tips for getting the hub nut off without one?
