My side lights are working fine but my brake lights don’t work. They flash on for barely a second when I first push on the pedal but then go straight off. As a side note the previous owner replaced the original bulbs with Wipac LED lights. I have spoken to the previous owner and he’s never had an issue. They were working fine last week but now nothing.

Any idea as to what I need to check or what I need to do?

Have you found and checked the brake light switch ?

Its under the bonnet on the back of the brake pedal box.
2 wires, plastic body, brass nut.
Short out the two wires and the brake lights will go on.
Press the brake pedal, it activates the switch, the lights come on.

Lots of potential issues. Check the brake switch. But also check the positive feed to the units. Then check the units themselves. LED can be fickle and often isn’t the upgrade many believe. Ultimately a dodgy Earth (even on a different light unit) could cause issues.

A circuit tester/multimeter, some screw drivers and a couple of hrs faffing should resolve it.
