A friend of mine is a very competant mechanic, however he is working on someone's Series 2, he is unable to stop the pressure building up in the system, and effectively activating the brakes. Can anyone advise on a cure? I am informed that the master cylinder was a new fit last year, and other new brake part's having been fitted since.

Thank's in advance. :);)

Std system no servo. Happened to me years ago, sure I just changed the master, but as I said this has had a master.
Won't be able to reply till Sunday, off to Astle Park. ;)

The pedal - cylinder operating rod needs backing off. Take off top pedal box top cover and slacken the locknut nearest the cylinder - and adjust the thing so there's a little slack in the rod.

When its right - lock the nuts again - I found one where the nut had run right down the thread towards the cylinder.
