I live in Newtownards, Co.Down and I've had a 110 Defender for the last 5 years. Use it to go to various beaches around Ireland to windsurf/kitesurf and the local dump. I know feck all about engines, etc. - not a natural fettler so please use simple langauge!

I have joined the forum cos i feel the need to take the plunge into Biodiesel or veg oils and looking to gather some expert info. Otherwise I may get the head staggers after a skinful and nip over the road to Safeways!!

looool

Welcome to the forum m8

re the bio fuel there is a good thread on this subject with a lot of info and advise for and against

by the way what year is your defender ??

Pleased to meet you Bell...........just read all of the thread on bio fuels.......and it still looks like a devil may care attitude may be required!

my Defender is a '92 2.5 tdi (methinks this is correct but the stella is being necked swiftly - and I repeat I am not techie minded at all)

I do agree with you realy its weather you are more intrested in saving a few ££ every week ,
But in my opinion its not worth it considering if you need to replace expencive parts.

The few ££ you saved will not be in a kitty wating for you to spend it on repairs,

so you will only have to fork out when you prob most dont want to .

ps
