Bonnet release cable guard clip

Hi all,

New here, so let me know if this isnt right.

My bonnet release cable snapped thought itd be a quick fix but Ive got a stupid bonnet cable guard and i cant remove the cable because of the thing (not sure what to call it) in red. Any idea on how to remove? Cant get my fingers in because of the guard when i try to unscrew the cable just spins and cant get anything in to grip the other side.

Pretty sure its metal too so cant snap it off.

unscrew bonnet hinges......lift up from screen end get a buddy to pop latch with long screwdriver

I can get the bonnet up just need to replace the cable and cant remove it because of this clip

ok so you gotta drill out the rivets on the cable guard then..
