Morning,
I was having a tinker last night, sorting out a blocked washer jet, when I noticed that there was what appeared to be oil leaking from the top intercooler hose!
I had replaced this recently when I removed the EGR and obviously didn't tighten the jubilee clip up enough...
I had a quick flick through the Haynes manual and it mentions that oil in the intercooler hose can indicate Turbo oil seals blown.
My question is, would this not produce a marked increase in exhaust smoke?
There doesn't appear to be any excessive smoke, or could it be crap from the inlet running back down the top hose now I've removed the EGR?

Any advice would be much appreciated, sorry 300tdi if that makes any difference.

Thanks

KTM

There is ALWAYS a little wetness from oil in turbo hoses.

It happens.

Unless your engine is using heaps of oil and / or blowing out clouds of blue smoke, you can forget it.

CharlesY,
Thanks for that, will just tighten the clip and forget.
I can fix the washer jet instead...

Thanks Again
