Disco 1 Bloody 200 heater motor

Well, what a way to end one year and start another

My '91 Disco has just decided that it is time for me to either give up with it OR buy a new heater motor & re-build most of the cab (otherwise known as removing the dashboard )

some years ago I had a '91 3.5i D1 that had a doomed heater motor, was like it for 3 more years before it was sold

why did they design it so? why build a Discovery with the heater motor being the first item in the assembly

Zed I've got to do the same job on mine, been putting it off for a while now. The non air con (like mine) seem quite rare secondhand but there is someone selling new ones on ebay for a bit over £100 so not cheap.
