Blocked diesel Filter ??

Hi all, newbie here and to diesels so please bear with me.
I filled up my freelander yesterday and after about 1/2 mile it started to run a bit uneasy, only rev to about 3000 rpm and not get past 50 mph. After about 8,9 miles it cleared - thankfully.

On the way home it happened again - only this time it wont clear, revs to only 3000 ish rpm annd will not pass 50ish.

Could it be **** from Tescos diesel tank in my diesel filter / pipes or is it something more more serious.

Anyhelp would be appreciated.

do you get the engine management light on when you try to rev past 3000 ?

No engine management light, nothing on dashboard - just lack of power. Is a td4 2.0 litre

Thanks to all but it was apparently the INLINE fuel pump on the engine. It was tested and for some reason lacked power !! - replaced and it works fine now - thanks to all for your help - wish you could do something with the BILL !

aaww shucks mate, you just missed out on the magic wands, they were given out all year in 2008, but ran out yesterday.

Glad you got it sorted though.
