blazer 4x4 problem

Hi my 97 blazer seems to be stuck in 4hi. I press the button to swtich
to 2 hi and i can hear clicking like its trying to do something, but
nothing happens.
Any ideas?

check your owners manual, I beleive this system is speed sensitive...try
lower speed and you may have to drive in reverse a short distance but
check the manual
